As a student, you’ll receive comprehensive world-class training as part of Airways’ intensive programmeto ensure you gain all the specialist skills you need to be an ATCO or FSO.

This training is available for New Zealand residents and Australian citizens only. 

if you are successful through our testing as part of our selection process, you will be required to attend a one-day assessment centre in Christchurch in August 2022.

Training for successful candidates will begin in our Christchurch training centre in October 2022. Students will spend 8-9 months training in Christchurch, before relocating to one of our air traffic control towers across the country for on-the-job training.
